The vision of Lehigh Valley Outreach
Depot is to be “the hands and feet of
God,” whose sole purpose is to receive,
store and provide useful goods to those
who need help reestablishing their lives
or business.
The depot supports those going through devastating times due to a loss of home or business because of fire, flood, hurricane, earthquake, or other catastrophic occurrences. Those in need may be local (within the greater Lehigh Valley), elsewhere in Pennsylvania, the nation and the world. We work with Mission Central as a satellite hub. Goods distributed include all, or in part: household furniture, small appliances, business furniture and equipment and disaster relief kits - health kits, cleaning buckets, school kits, birthing kits, etc.
The depot is open to receiving/distributing supplies two days a week - Tuesdays and Saturdays - from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. Volunteers help support depot operations and assemble disaster relief kits. During periods of increased demand following a major disaster, these days and hours can be expanded to accommodate additional volunteers.
We accept donated supplies and volunteers from a variety of churches and other charitable organizations in the Lehigh Valley. Donations are received during the specified hours of operation however, if needed and coordinated in advance, we can accept items on other days and at other times.
The depot layout includes shelving and pallets for storing furniture and office equipment, a work area for assembling disaster relief kits and a volunteer break area.
We hope you’ll be inspired to join us at the “depot”.
