Instructions for our Guests

Welcome: Thank you for visiting the Lehigh Valley Outreach Depot. You’ve been referred to us by your caseworker because you need basic items essential to daily living. We hope to be able to give you what you need.

Our inventory is limited to basic furniture and household goods donated by generous folks all over the Lehigh Valley. Don’t expect to find everything you need, but bring a list of those things you really need and we’ll show you what we have available. You may call that morning to see if we have what you need in stock. If not, you can ask to be rescheduled, but be aware that each guest is limited to one rescheduled appointment.

When you arrive you’ll be asked to present your signed Referral & Liability Waiver form and a picture ID showing the address displayed on the form. If your current address is different, you’ll have to produce a signed lease showing that you live at that address.

During your visit you will be shown what we have available to meet your needs. You will have 30 minutes to make your choices. Anyone who comes with you will have to wait outside or remain in our guest reception area. Only the guest whose name and signature are on the form will be allowed inside the warehouse area.

We do not deliver. You will have to have your own transportation and help to load and unload your furniture. If you can’t take everything with you the day of your appointment, we’ll schedule a pickup appointment for you in about a week or ten days so you can arrange for transportation and help.
